Charli XCX Is an Indie Sleaze Inspiration in a Stained Tank Top, Jorts, and $3,000 Boots

I just find Charli XCX so inspiring. The recent Grammy nominee was photographed in New York City on November 12 wearing an outfit that manages to be aspirational while also making me feel deeply seen. I mean, a stained tank and $3,000 boots? Brat summer is not yet dead, and I’m here for it.

Let’s start with the jorts. Charli has declared that the baggy, knee-length jorts moment is not quite over, and she has paired hers with the Jimmy Choo x Jean Paul Gaultier denim cuff boots. To quote a certain millennial club-kid poet, I love it.

The outfit also includes a statement-making brown fur jacket, the Aupen Nirvana bag in black, and square-frame black sunglasses. The pièce-de-résistance of this look may just be the gray muscle-tee tank top, which has a slightly cropped fit and what looks like a largish stain in the front. And as for a bra? Never heard of her.

Charli XCX is currently in New York City for rehearsals ahead of her Saturday Night Live hosting and musical-guest gig on November 16. Earlier in the week she was spotted in another A-plus fall outfit, a utilitarian black Saint Laurent jumpsuit paired with a black Saint Laurent bag and black leather Bottega Veneta gloves.

As Charli herself wrote on Instagram, “snl week babbyyyyyy lets gooooo.”
