Incase you’ve been living under a rock, you would have seen (or at least heard) the news about Taylor Swift’s new man — American football player Travis Kelce. While their fateful love story has been quite captivating, the real win is we’re getting more pictures that best captures Swift’s personal style which is a mix of preppy chic and loud prints. When the singer was out on a date with Kelce, I was thrilled to see that she was wearing AUPEN’s Nirvana bag which I had already purchased a couple months ago, just days before she wore it at her producer Jack Antonoff’s summer pre-wedding dinner.

Having worked in the fashion industry for the past 1.5 years, I have come to own plenty of statement handbags. Yet, the soft and buttery Nirvana remains my go-to everyday bag and it is also a life-saver on my many occasions when I don’t know what to wear, thanks to its understated allure, unique asymmetrical design and a lack of flashy branding.
Yet, the Nirvana isn’t the only AUPEN bag to take over celebrity street style. Recently spotted on pop star Olivia Rodrigo, was the Purpose. Here, Rodrigo pairs the sleek bag with a mini LBD and a matching pair of black heels. If you’re looking for something a little softer, look to the Fearless Re-edition, as seen on Jennifer Lawrence. The actress took the noir-coloured bag to the streets, wearing a greyish slouchy blazer with a white shirt and matching pants. The bag’s rounded silhouette brings the look together, and can be hand-carried or worn on your shoulder.

Personally, I bring out the Nirvana when I’m out and about for events in town. While the bag isn’t super spacious, it can fit all of my essentials — think house keys, my wallet, lip balm, a hand sanitiser and of course, my AirPods. While it is great for nights out, I do love wearing the Purpose for its chic and structured look especially with its secure flap that fits my phone and cards safely. Plus, its versatility means that I can wear on my wrist or as a crossbody. It really shows that AUPEN bags are lightweight and are comfortable to carry all day.

As the proud owner of the Nirvana and the Purpose, both the Fearless and the Re-Edition bags are currently on my Christmas wish list and I foresee that they will become my new go-to accessories. What I’ve grown to love about AUPEN is the brand’s consistency. Rather than pumping out a new collection every other week, AUPEN focuses on quality, long-lasting designs that are not only affordable, but are great wardrobe staples no matter the season or trend.
